The ingredients for this smokey and sweet BBQ Sauce is very simple! I bet you already have most of these ingredients in your pantry. We start by using ketchup as the base of the BBQ sauce, along with dijon mustard, apple cider vinegar, sweetened with real honey, and some simple spices that elevate the flavour of the sauce.
How to Make Honey BBQ Sauce
The whole process of making this BBQ sauce only takes 15 minutes. I always prep a big jar of it to keep it on hand for whenever I feel like barbequing so I can use it right away. All you need is a small pot and a spatula to mix all the ingredients together and then bring the mixture to a boil and let simmer for 10 minutes. Get ready to slather this delicious sauce on everything!

Honey BBQ Sauce
- 1 tsp Chilli Powder
- 2 tsp Onion Powder
- 2 tsp Garlic Powder
- 1/4 tsp Chipotle Pepper
- 1/4 tsp Pepper
- 1/4 tsp Himalayan Salt
- 1 cup Ketchup
- 2 tbsp Dijon Mustard
- 3 tbsp Honey
- 1/2 cup Apple Cider Vinegar
- Small Pot
- Glass jar
Making the sauce
- Mix all the ingredients in a small pot until everything is incorporated.
- Cook the honey BBQ sauce on high heat to bring to boil, then simmer for 10 minutes.Tip: Partially cover the lid while simmering because the sauce tends to spatter. Stir occasionally until the sauce thickens.
Storage: Keep the honey BBQ sauce in an air-tight jar in the fridge up to 2 weeks.
