I made this recipe because I wanted cookies that are free from refined sugar and so far the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. What Makes These Chocolate Chips Cookies Healthier?
Store-bought cookies are often filled with tones of processed sugar so I substituted it for maple syrup and coconut sugar. Both maple syrup and coconut sugar have a lower glycemic level which means that it won’t spike your blood sugar high like the regular processed sugar. They also have more nutritional value which is a bonus. Also If you are trying to stay away from dairy I substituted butter with coconut oil and the cookies come out just as tasty!
